"Like everything else where I come from, the food is always dull, grayish, and bland," the alien in my body replied. "It hardly has any taste at all."

"What a drag." Jessica sprinkled some spices into the pot. "I'm doing hot and spicy now. I'm really into flavor in a major way."

"Sounds simply marvelous," the alien in my body said with a smile.

"Uh, could I speak to you in private for a second?" I squeaked at my sister.

"I'm in the middle of a risotto," Jessica answered. "Can't it wait?"

"No, it can't wait," I sputtered in the alien’s body. "I have to talk to you now!"
